    1. I started this book several years ago and have been struggling to get through it. But if you can make it through the nineteenth century writing there are jewels of insight into the War Between the States or as I usally refer to it as " The War of Northern Agression". Unfortunately this is the first volume of Twelve. Which means I might be done in a decade or so.
