    2. This book was recommended as a good starting point as a branch from the Dragon Lord series. This was probably a mistake, as a good part of the book either made reference to past events, or explained a bunch of back-story.The writing was solid but there were some phrases that I had to read twice as they were poorly constructed. The scifi was interesting, but a bit jumbled. The family story was solid, probably the best part of the book. The sex was minimal.

    3. Evan Cormier has the gift of empathy. He guards himself closely so he doesn’t get unduly influenced by others. When he meets Josselyn Craven he is unable to shield himself from her and soon finds he doesn’t want to. Since the first book where Evan is introduced in The Bound Prince I have wanted to read his story. Then he gets cursed, along with the rest of the crew, by a spirit in The Pirate Prince and I wanted to read about him even more. He is quiet, unassuming, always the peacemaker, and [...]

    8. The Space Lords is a crew of misfits, who found each other through a series of adventures and are now family. We met them in the Var Lords series and they are now led by Prince Jarek and his mate, Mei. Evan is an empath, which makes his life a tad.icated. His world and his family were destroyed and when he met his former captain, Sam, she became his family. When Mei comes across a holocube with directions to a pardoned prisoner they decide to do the decent thing and go rescue her. Just over a ce [...]

    9. I have been reading Michelle Pillow's work for a while and I so enjoy her stories. In this series Space Lords we meet a crew of misfits. Banded together, in a functioning dysfunctional family. It works for them. Evan is an empath that is on this crew of men. He is troubled by his past failures, specifically not taking care of his sister. He is alone, his home planet was destroyed and nothing is left. In a twist of fate the crew come across a cube that holds the key to Evans future or demise. In [...]

    10. Great story! I loved Evan and the crew of misfit space pirates when we first met them in “The Bound Prince”. Some of my favorite parts of this book are Evan and the crew’s interactions with each other. I also like how the Dragon Lords, Lords of the Var, and the Space Lords lead into each other. This book is strong enough to stand on its own, but the book is better when you have read the other books in the series.I really liked the main characters, Evan and Josselyn, Evan was my favorite in [...]

    11. Another unique story from Michelle Pillow. This one takes the reader on a really bumpy ride. Talk about lovers with problems--without spoilers I can't go into them, just know there are multiple life threatening problems, loyalty, history, family and curses that go against the couple ending with a HEA.The crew's relationship is like a big family of bad boys with a tiny little mother trying to keep them in order when--yeah you got it--she's as bad as the rest of them. You'll visit several new place [...]

    12. I loved this book. It is a new story line off of the Dragon Lords and the Lords of Var Series. It is the first book where you read about the characters that Zhang An cursed/ predicted their future. I loved Evan in the Lords of Var Series and you get to know him better in this story line. Lady Josselyn is a character out of time after being frozen for 100 years. Before she can join her family in death she must avenge them by locating the man that betrayed them. She meets Evan when she is thawed a [...]

    13. This is a spin-off series from the Dragon/Var lords series and follows the crew from an earlier book. After reading about the curse in the previous book I had been wondering when I would see the stories that were surely going to follow and I was not disappointed! This is a really good story, but does not focus to much on the paranormaluntil near the end and then things get crazy (in a good way). I am looking forward to the rest of this seriesbut think it may be hard to top this one since Evan wa [...]

    14. Great start to her new series!I am so excited that Michelle has begun this series. I cannot wait to continue delving into her addicting world of space travel, aliens, intrigue, and love! I have read all of her Dragon lords, Var lords, the Zhang dynasty, and now Space lords. They all lead into one another and it's a wonderful treat. Now I am off the the Galaxy Playmates series. Happy reading everyone!

    15. Well I have to say this story didn't warm me up at all. There is very little happening between the main characters, Jocelyn and Evan except for avoidance then bam, sex and avoidance again. No real building to really make things hot. A bit disappointed really :( One thing I didn't get though was Rick's strange attitude when reading Jocelyn's name in the list of pardoned. I was really excepting a special connexion but nothing happened.

    16. This was a really nice book. The love story was sweet and emotional. Evan is an empath. Lady Josselyn was betrayed and frozen in time in a prison for 103 yrs. Evan falls for her almost immediately but doesn't realize it. Cant wait for the next one in the series.I received an eBook copy from the publisher for the purpose of an honest review. I was not compensated for this review: all conclusions are my own.

    17. This book has been in my "want to read pile" ever since I devoured Michelle Pillows other books. I loved it and found it funny, erotic, romantic, and just an overall great read. I really enjoyed reading Evan and Josselyns story

    18. Great StoryMichelle has once again written a great story with seemingly endless twists and turns. The feeling of family amongst the crew is very heartfelt. Read it, I think you will enjoy it as much as I did.

    19. Nice, a little confusing some times. I found the idea for this story a good one. But the hero was too weak for my taste.

    20. DeathEnjoyed the characters and their interactions. Deep loss and the possibility of family again. Twists I didn't expect. Great read.

    21. Very goodAfter reading the Var series I was anxious to read about the cursed crew. Lol. This was a good bookd a few times as well. Can't wait for the next one.

    22. Felt let down by the paranormal elements and the meager description of Evan's past and that makes the story feel a bit rushed.
