    1. DNF at 60%. This is a shame - I really enjoyed the concept and I think the story could have been really great. However, the writing is so overwhelmingly juvenile to the point of cringing. Tanner also just doesn't seem believable. I know that there are (unfortunately) many abusive fathers, but the way the author wrote Tanner doesn't seem realistic, it seems exaggerated to a comic extent. Jericka was overdone, there were way too many unnecessary details, and with over half the book complete, there [...]

    2. Unique, fun, & well written!It's hard to find a book with a unique writing style that has grip, a clever plot, and fleshed out characters that I can relate to. The Hidden Level is exactly that kind of unique book, and it left me completely satisfied Except for the fact that I'm dying to read book 2 now! Heavy subjects that while not danced around are also not graphically flaunted before the reader.
