    1. Poor Freya, the frill-necked lizard, is so frazzled by the heat, the spooky shadows, and the terrifying (but imaginary) monsters, that she’s too scared to play with her friends.     2. A wonderful resource for children. This charming book for younger readers tackles the issue of fear, and learning to overcome it. Freya is scared by her own shadow, and needs the help of her friends to get back doing what she loves, which is playing with them. The illustrations are beautifully done, and are a great way to teach about the outback and our wonderful Australian animals, especially with information in the back about the animals represented.
