    1. I enjoyed this romantic suspense book.Mercedes in an actress with a stalker and a serious illness. Her quest for solitude leads her to her remote cabin. She thinks it is the perfect place to escape the death threats and far away from the limelight. The local Doctor, Luke, is a hero in so many ways. He is there to help her through the tough part of accepting her illness. He protects her and gives her emotional support. Their lives are different, but they compliment each other. He is the rock that [...]

She heads to Idaho to stay at her cabin until she's ready to go to Paris to film her next movie, the role of a lifetime. While in Idaho, she feels sick and visits the local doctor, Luke Parker. After conducting some tests, he has some bad news for her and his diagnosis could change everything.Mercedes is th [...]

    3. (3.5 Stars) Hollywood actress, Mercedes, is taking a break from fame at her cabin in small-town Idaho, when a devastating diagnoses sends her life into a tailspin. Dr. Luke Parker is good at what he does, but the lines between physician and friend are blurred.Mercedes is very down-to-earth, personable, and I felt sorry for her with her situation. Luke is a great, strong character--someone who has his friends backs. I loved the spunky receptionist, Winona, as well as Luke's daughter. There was ju [...]

    4. This was a pretty good suspense novel. It was entertaining and it kept me guessing on who Mercedes' stalker was. When that finally came out, I was surprised (and saddened). Although I didn't feel much of a connection with the characters, the relationship the stalker had with Mercedes made everything he did all the more disturbing. The romance of a big time movie star with a small town doctor didn't seem very realistic to me. It's those Cinderella type (commoner/royalty) relationships that tend to [...]

    5. This is my favorite Kathi Oram Peterson book I've read so far. I loved the main characters and felt like I really connected with them. I don't always connect with actor types, but I liked Mercedes. She was the perfect mix of flawed and sympathetic. The mystery worked for me and kept me guessing, and though the romance happened pretty quickly, I felt like it was mostly believable.

    6. I found it so interesting that after all this time Bo was the stalker! it just surprises me. I thought they were friends. So.uh yeah. I really enjoyed this book. It was so intense! I honestly wanted Mercedes and Luke to be part of each others life. But she had to go to Paris for a film maybe when she gets never know.

    7. Listened to this on CD. It was a good story with a decent plot. I liked the love twist, but didn't like some of the times when they refused to discuss important things. That is really frustrating. Overall, a worthwhile read.

    9. I can't imagine the life of being a well-known celebrity like Mercedes Grant. She is the end product of famous parents as well, one a well-known Western legend and the other a bit more in your face type and has been known to ruffle a few feathers to get her way. It's a good thing they are no longer married to one another, but that doesn't mean that Mercedes is often called to be the ongoing referee between the two as they continue to battle it out with their own younger romantic conquests. She'd [...]

    10. Title: Star StruckAuthor: Kathi Oram PetersonPages: 288Year: 2016Publisher: Covenant Communications, Inc.Mercedes Grant is a box office smash in her adventure movies. Both of her parents are also big names in the movie business as well, so she has grown up “in the business”. They have been married and divorced to and from each other twice and love to call Mercedes to complain about each other. Mercedes has received a script to perform in a drama and thinks this movie will really show that sh [...]

    11. This book was kind of hit and miss with me. I loved the premise. I enjoyed that while I guessed the bad guy, I also changed my mind a couple times so I didn't really know who the bad guy was. I enjoyed Luke's receptioniste was totally great. Plus, the writing was solid. I guess I just didn't connect with the characters. They were written realistically and well, but they just didn't resonate with me. I didn't really like Mercedes. I mean, everything she did or said that I didn't like I could see [...]

    14. (Genre:LDS fiction/romance/mystery) Movie star Stormy Ryan leaves Hollywood after a particularly frightening death threat to hide and chill out in her mountain cabin in Idaho. Seeking help at a local clinic when she becomes ill, she gets on the radar the handsome widower doctor who provides her care. Luke tries to tell himself that he is only interested in Stormy from a medical provider point of view, but he can't help but get swept up in the excitement and danger that seem to be following Storm [...]

    15. Mercedes Grant is a movie star. She goes to her cabin in Swan Valley, Idaho following a movie and a death threat. But trouble follows her to Idaho. She gets sick and goes to the local medical clinic where she meets Dr. Luke Parker. He is convinced she has more than just a cold.Danger and disease close in. The stalker can be only one of three people - her costar Craig Styles, her body guard Bo Reynolds or the caretaker Gary. So the book is basically a waiting game to see which one is the stalker. [...]

    16. This was a new author for me and I wasn't sure I would like it. The story starts slow and with too much detail at times but then it picked up and kept on moving. Most of the story happens in less than a week. There is a small bit of religion in it but it was not preachy just contemplative. With everything she was going through it is natural to question God. Surprisingly, this had a lot of suspense and many possible bad guys to keep me guessing and I am usually quick to find the real bad guy. It [...]

    17. This was a nice fun read while I was recovering from a cold. It's romantic suspense. Follows the typical pattern for that genre. Peterson kept me guessing as to who the bad guy was. I like that. I thought the final reveal was a little over the top, and some of the character arcs happened too fast to be fully believable, but you know what? It was clean. It was entertaining. And I liked it. I'll be reading more of her books.

    18. It takes a talented author to write a mystery that leaves you stumped until the end. Kathi did a great job of throwing multiple suspects, creating doubt and weaving romance into Star Struck. I enjoyed it from start to finish.

    19. I really enjoyed the audiobook, the narrator did a great job. The story held my attention and I liked that the characters were not completely honest with themselves. Real people not just characterizations of people.

    20. Suspense and mystery. It was well written and there were lots of possible bad guys and she kept you guessing till the end.

    21. Kathi Peterson at her best! A fast-paced, emotional story set in the sweeping outback of modern day's wild west. If you like a strong female characters ready to literally kick butt, check it out!

    22. Rating 4.5. This was a great book--more action and adventure than I thought, more serious than I thought, better than I thought it would be. Great story!

    23. Very clean, LDS based story. I loved the characters, and wish there was a sequel. this made me a little antsy, reading about a stalker, late at night. But I really enjoyed this story.
