    1. Another wonderful story from Patty Devlin as part of five different story's by five different authors with the same theme, Johnny Hastings Sons. Celia is a schoolteacher that must marry Sheriff Owens in order to teach in a time that females must be married. This has romance, adventure, suspense danger and spanking. This is a terrific read.

    2. This great story is one of the multi-author Sons of Johnny Hastings series. All five books work as stand-alone books and you can read them in any order. There's great pleasure to be had when you're reading all of them to see how the stories fit together especially with the son's (and their mother's) relationships with the now-deceased Johnny Hastings. This particular story takes place in Denver City, which also happens to be the hometown of Johnny Hastings himself, meaning that lawman Jackson Owe [...]

    3. I love this first book in the series! Celia has come to Denver to be a schoolteacher. She deliberately used her initials instead of her name when applying so that the school board thought they were hiring a man. When they realize she is a woman they decide that she must marry so that a man might look out for her and protect her. Marshall Jackson Owens steps up to marry her to protect her, but he really wants her as she is different from any woman that he knows. So, after a spanking because she s [...]

    4. Some nice and hot spanking scenes, but then it cuts to black just when the sex starts. So not quite my favorite thing, but certainly a solid enjoyable read. And I think it was clear from other reviews as well as from the author bio that this is what I would get, so I'm not complaining, exactly. But I when I got to some of those scene breaks well, I groaned out loud in frustration, more than once! Ms. Devlin is very good at writing sexy, descriptive scenes. I won't be buying the rest of the Sons [...]

    5. Celia Whitman applied to Denver for the teaching position, but left out she was not a man, as the school had requested, instead sending her application as C. G. Whitman. Denver is not a place for single women, and the school board decides to keep the job, she must marry, and they give her the choice of Hugh Farley a widower with 4 rambunctious boys or Sheriff Owens. Well, Sheriff Owens does not give her a choice, and they are married at 4 that day. Jackson is a man who believes in Domestic Disci [...]
