    1. After being kidnapped and held in captivity for 17 years, African snake shifter Caladon is living with the gargoyles and slowly recovering. He hopes to be reconciled with his long lost son and is surprised when he meets his human mate Leroy who does the occasional nursing sessions for the gargoyles. Leroy approaches this relationship with some concern because he has seen Caladon in his snake form and he isn't fond of gigantic snakes and who can blame him? But worse than that Leroy's family are h [...]

    2. Leroy and Cal. I LOVE Leroy, but I think I needed more. (view spoiler)[His family was horrid and I think I wanted something bigger to happen with that. yay for Leroy standing up to his dad, but is he really going to leave Leroy alone? I don't think so. (hide spoiler)]Cal and his previous life. Whoa. Easy way out? Hmmm

    3. Accepting Caladon's Scales (A Paranormal's Love Book 9)Accepting Caladon's Scales (A Paranormal's Love Book 9)Another great book it showed me love can over come any thing Can't wait to read the next one I hope it comes out soon

    4. this book comes hits close to home. narrow minded people are all around us. constantly looking down and passing judgment on superiority. take a stand and stand your ground.

    5. I'm so happy that Leroy finally found his mate, Caledon ( snake), however, I had a bit of a hard time reading certain parts of this due to Leroy's family. I can't stand reading about prejudice, bigotry, or basically hatred of any kind. It's ridiculously cruel and ignorant, and I'm so over it. Other than that, the two of them were adorable, and Caledon is very respectful of Leroy, which I really like. I'm thankful that the author refreshes us on who these guys are as they pop up, because after aw [...]

    6. Black and whiteThe boa and the nurse, family lost and family of biggotesFamilies found and claimed. A lot of trouble for love but worth it

    7. I don't even know where to starthooboy. I feel like author's like this know their niche. They know they write quick, short HEA stories with a little drama but not too much drama. And that's fine. But I felt the author was stretching out of her zone with this. I'm usually not happy with her lazy, static portrayals of nonwhite characters (especially since most of the time they're gargoyles so skin color/cultural background doesn't even matter) but this really annoyed me. Racism is a pretty deep su [...]

    8. I really liked that this book focused more on the human perspective and basic human problems.Caladon is a boa constricter shifter who was freed from the circus/carnival in APL 6 Calming a Demon Heart. After 17 years in captivity he's not very sociable.Leroy is the human nurse who was kind of abducted in APL 5 Removing the Gargoyle’s Mask when they rescued/took Marty out of the hospital. He has since been helping out with the Clutch, especially during day times when the doctor turns to stone. W [...]

    9. Snake shifter, yay! Though this is in the Paranormal’s Love series, neither MC is a gargoyle. Leroy works for the gargoyles, and that’s how he meets Caladon, who was rescued by the gargoyles, but Leroy is human and Caladon is a snake. In this novella we get a father’s reunion with his son, some crazy racism, a bit of family angst and sex in a tree! Though there isn’t a lot different between Caladon and the wolf shifters, we do get a bit of a feel for him being unique with his stature and [...]

    10. 5 hisstabulous StarsAuthor:Charlie RichardsBook: Accepting Caladon’s ScalesSeries: A Paranormal’s Love Book 9Rating: 5Date Read: 31/08/14Review:Thank you to the author for this book. The best book Charlie Richards has ever written, I think, or at least in the top 5. Really enjoyed it and loved both Caladon and Leroy.

    11. the book was ok, just the usual.unfortunately for me the problems were solved, let's see, way too easy or not at all which gives the book an unfinished feeling.well I thought that because of the problem they were going to actually going to wait for the intimacy etc but noere wasn't much dept mostly sex, even tho am glad that there are very human realistic problems, it would still have been better development and I would have actually liked to see them solved completely and in a different manner [...]

    12. Meh. I don't know why but this just left me flat. All the elements needed are there and I was REALLY looking forward to Leroy finding a mate, but, I dunno. While I'm unfortunately very well acquainted with people like Leroy's family and enjoyed Leroy telling his parents off I wish there would have been a big comeuppance for the whole family. Caladon frightening the father off while in snake form wasn't the ending people like that deserve. Public shaming, personal, professional and financial ruin [...]

    13. While Caladon is an altogether reasonable and perfectly nice and considerate man, there just wasn’t enough to this story besides the bare bones and sex. I know I should be used to this by now as most of the author’s books are somewhat on speed, but for some reason I keep expecting more – because I know she is able to do this.Oh well, it was still nice enough, even if it lacked proper depth of feeling or execution.

    14. The thing with Leroy's dad was left undone imo. It feels like he would be back, but story is over so if mentioned later it will be in passing. The ending seemed rushed, would have liked more dealing with his father and more with Cal's son. Author spends pages and pages etc on 1 sex scene and leaves big parts of the story line left undone.

    15. At times Caladon doesn't strike me as a good match to Leroy. Perhaps not enough info on Leroy to get an idea. The only thing definitive is skin color contrast. Caladon is toowishy washy or perhaps gentle? times. He just doesn't strike me as manly at times. That's the best I can describe my feeling of character on him.

    16. Not bad. It was interesting to see the characters deal with parents who are severely prejudiced. It was really funny to me bc Leroy parents didn't like Caladon bc he was black but really he was from the Caribbean and ppl from the Caribbean don't consider themselves to be black! Kinda funny.

    17. One thing you can say about this author even if you finish a book in this series feeling like something was missing, you can't help but be ready to jump into the next one *headdesk* LOL

    18. Not a fan of snakes, but could you imagine running across Caladon, no thanks. But I did like the story. On to the next. Keep them coming and we will keep reading them

    19. Crack, I tell you, her stories are crack. Even with the bad writing and the awful grammar mishaps, I can't get enough. I need a 12 step program.
