    1. This review was originally posted on Star Crossed Reviews Ceri thinks she sees angels…everywhere. She struggles to keep separate what feels like two very different sides to her life. As a manager in an advertising company she’s been working with the gorgeous Alex for two years. The have a friendship based upon the image she portrays whilst she’s at work and it helps to keep her sane. One mad, crazy night spent sharing their secrets and a lot of wine result in them ending up in bed together [...]

    2. I'd like to thank the author for sending me an ARC in exchange for a fair and honest review.I read this book in one day, on a wet, windy Sunday and I found it to be an easy interesting read. The characters were easily likeable especially the main character Ceri.As the book continued you found yourself in the middle of Ceri's life, Ceri see spirits that help her to assist people in need, sometimes it's just an uneasy feeling as is the case with her twin brother Seb's fiancée, Seb doesn't believe [...]

    3. I didn't realise this was part of a trilogy, so was left gasping, "What??" when it finished without closure. I was totally immersed in the fascinating world of psychics and angels, and the likeability of the main characters made it perfect. I do wish I'd paid more attention to the blurb, instead of just rushing in because I love the subject matter. I'd still have bought it, but might not have read it until the others are out. I do wish it had been a complete book, but I won't mark it down becau [...]

    4. I thoroughly enjoyed this quick read over two evenings in my hot-tub. Ceri is a fasinating character and you immediately warm to her and her ability to see angels. Her work collegue Alex sounds delicious and I was secretly rooting for them to get together. This was very easy to sink into thanks to the writing style and was disappointed when I reached the end so quickly. I will just have to get the second book now!!Sweet romance with an angelic feel, give it a try it will wing you away from reali [...]

    5. I was cautious of this one. First person and present tense are things I usually avoid, but despite this, it grabbed me from the first page. I couldn't help myself and had to read on. My brain was saying, 'but you don't like this' and I ignored it, merrily, and read on. What a captivating read. Brilliantly described paranormal experiences made me feel like I was watching them on a film. Not what I expected from the story at all. Very glad I ignored my prejudice and read on. Great ending, too.

    6. Firstly I’d like to thank the author for sending me this ARC to read and give an honest review. I have previously enjoyed some of Linn’s other books. This book is part one in a fascinating series of three novellas about Ceri’s Journey. The very first sentence captured my interest because it mentioned Ceri’s ability to see angels – angels and the afterlife have always intrigued me so I knew from just one line that I would be hooked on Ceri’s story. It was obvious from the start that sh [...]

    7. Having already read and loved some of Linn B Halton’s books, I took ‘Falling’, the first in the Angels Among Us series, away on holiday. I’m a boater and sometimes time dedicated to reading can be limited. It has to engage me immediately therefore and keep me engaged. Falling engrossed me, totally. It’s beautifully written, a clarity and calmness in the author’s voice which drew me straight into Ceri’s world, a world where she co-exists with angels. Ceri doesn’t fall over them. S [...]

    8. Falling begins with the reader being aware of Ceri and her twin Seb’s bond. Her intuition is warning her there is a problem with his relationship and he’s going to get hurt. Ceri just can’t help her intuition getting in the way of allowing her to be close with his fiancée.We witness an incident where Ceri uses her gift – the gift that sets her apart from others and affects her relationships.Ceri keeps a journal which documents all the people she may have helped through using her ability [...]

    9. Do you believe in premonitions? Ceri has always had a “gift” for seeing or feeling things about people, some are good things, some are bad, but she cannot always stop what will happen. Confused, the man she secretly has feelings for becomes her confidant, but negative feelings about their relationship tears them apart before it really begins. Both search for spiritual answers, but will they find what they need to know to share their love? Do people make their own destiny or is our path alrea [...]

    10. Jane Hunt Writer First StepsJane Hunt Writer Book Reviews FacebookJane Hunt Writer Book Reviews Google+'Falling' is the first in a trilogy about Ceri, whose name gives us a clue to her true identity. The connection with Ceri is immediate; she's a good person, who wants to make a difference but struggles because she feels like a cuckoo in the nest. Ceri experiences extraordinary contact in an understated, believable way. Like Ceri, you are aware something out of the ordinary is going on but it's [...]

    11. ARC provided by Publisher, via Netgalley, in exchange for an honest review One of the things I love the most about getting to read books before they are published is that I am not influenced in my choice by other peoples reviews. I say that here because this book may not be to everyone's taste but I loved it!This is Book 1 of a trilogy. It's a short read, only 108 pages, it ends on a major cliffhanger (although the next part is due to be released in November 2013)and, whilst it is a romance, it [...]

    12. Ceri can see Angels. They appear to give her warnings so that she can help other people. Although Ceri has been able to help many people, she is resentful of how her premonitions have impacted on her personal life. Whilst Ceri is saving other people her love life has suffered as a consequence. There are few people she trusts to share her secret and she is feeling alone and isolated. Ceri is a twin and finds it incredible that her twin brother Seb neither shares her gift nor tries to understand i [...]

    13. I was pleasantly surprised by this book. It's short, sweet, and has a plot that holds your attention. I don't like to give away the plot of any new story, I've always believed it is better to be surprised by what the book has to offer. However, this book is obviously from the title about angels being among us. At first I expected another young adult novel about even more fallen angels, but what I discovered was a completely new twist on what reader's have come to expect from forbidden romances o [...]

    14. I read this book in one sitting. I was so caught up in the storyline that I couldn’t put it down. I loved everything about this novella. Ceri’s journey is deeply thought provoking and has really touched me emotionally. Linn has created something truly wonderful with this book. The moments, when Ceri sees her angels, are beautifully yet slightly eerily described. Altough Ceri finds herself in a huge turmoil in trying to understand her “special powers” I feel that the book had an extremely [...]

    15. I wanted to read this a while ago but after having some issues with NetGalley and files downloading, I missed the chance as it was archived before everything got sorted out. However, when I saw that it's been complied into one book and going on a blog tour, I couldn't resist taking part. Falling has drawn mixed emotions from me. It's a short, fast-paced read that had an interesting concept but I didn't really connect with it until the end. I felt the start was a bit all over the place and beside [...]

    16. Ceri works in an Advertising Agency and really has not come to terms with her gift. She sees angels. It leaves her feeling confused and not able to concentrate on other areas of her life.Ceri is one half of non-identical twins. Her brother, Seb is about to marry his sweetheart, but Ceri is uneasy about it. Alex is Ceri's best friend and work colleague. There is a mutual attraction and the tension between these two characters is hot but will they give into their feelings?I do enjoy novellas as a [...]

    17. What a lovely read. Linn B Halton’s style of writing in the first person gently flows with such ease, I was drawn into the story immediately and before I realised had read the first three chapters and wanted to just keep reading. There is a lovely air to the story; it gracefully glides along. Ceri and Alex are drawn to each other, yet equally, they are frightened of what this means and the feelings it evokes in them. They don’t necessarily understand or appreciate their own spiritual feeling [...]

    18. his was a short read. It was not an easy read, but it was a good read. It was not a romance book, although the relationship in this book had some romance. I would consider it more a paranormal story. Not a werewolf, vampire paranormal but more an angel paranormal. Ceri is a good person, who goes out of her way to help others, especially when she gets “the feeling” that a stranger needs help.Alex, Ceri’s co-worker, is a great friend. He is just a friend, rarely dates, and is always there fo [...]

    19. What a wonderful start to this series! Ceri's journey; Angels is my first read from Linn B Halton, and I was intrigued. Ceri's life is so very complicated - having to manage her day to day activities in the 'real world', while constantly being confronted with the paranormal. And it was all so remarkably real. I felt as if I knew Ceri, and surprisingly enough could relate to her struggles. I found myself reading, and then laying back only to contemplate what I had previously read. It's a marvelou [...]

    20. Angels is the first in a three part series called `Ceri's Journey' and I was totally blown away by the intensity of ideas, emotion and intrigue, packed into this 30,000 word story. I have read most of Linn's other books, and so I'm already a fan of her unique and very personal style of storytelling, which I can perhaps describe as like being told a heart rendering tale by a best friend. Angels is a powerful emotionally charged romance with supernatural/angelic suspense. It's Linn B Halton at her [...]

    21. Wonderfully written, this book tells the first part of Ceri's journey of self-discovery and her budding romance with colleague, Alex. Ceri sees angels but what do they really want her to do? Are they guiding her or hindering her chance of leading a normal life? You don't have to be a believer in any of the suggestions made in the story to enjoy it. Linn B Halton's fluent, easy-to-read writing style will have you empathising with the characters and going on the journey with them.I can't wait for t [...]

    22. This was fab! I instantly took to Ceri. She's a beautifully likeable character, struggling with her "gift". The author has managed to keep an element of reality with the possibility of the existence of angels in life. The book leaves us on a bit of a cliff hanger, but still gives us a satisfied feeling at the end. Can't wait to read the next part :) I'm hoping there are more answers to the angels.

    23. First, I would like to thank the author Linn B. Halton for giving me this book for an honest review. This is a novella so a short read. I really enjoyed the main character Ceri, she is a really good person and she sees angels. I like her best friend Alex, they fit together. The book ended with a major cliff hanger, but since this is the first book in a series, I cannot wait to see what happens next.

    24. I was pleasantly surprised by this little novella. It's short, but it holds your interest, even through some quite esoteric stuff. It ends on a major cliffhanger so I'm pleased to already have the follow-up on my Kindle and to hear that the third is being released not too long after. The author has a very gentle first-person writing style that carries you along in the immediacy of the story without being alienating to a reader.

    25. What's great about Linn B. Halton is, she's reliable. Whenever you pick up a Halton book like [[ASIN:B00AJNIM26 Never Alone]] you know that you're going to get an interesting and unique read. The angels series serves that up on a designer platter, with interesting characterization and a plot line that leaves you wondering where this is all going.Bottom line: Read it, enjoy it, love it.

    26. What is is that Ceri sees? Are they really angels or is she imagining it all? And if they are angels where will this all lead - what kind of a life will Ceri have? An intriguing premise that raises a lot of questions for the reader and makes one wonder if angels really do exist.

    27. NOTE: I received this eARC via Netgalley in exchange for my honest review.I'm not sure I've got a whole lot to say about this one. Mainly because it was only a hundred pages. It was a quick read, if not an amazing one. I honestly believe that the trilogy this novella is a part of could've just be compiled in one book, so everything would have had more sense. But you know, author/publisher choice, so yeah.To be frank, I'd forgotten what this novella was about. I remembered it being about angels, [...]

    28. Falling (Angels Among Us) was short, but sweet. I gave the novella three stars, simply because of its length. There were parts in the story which could’ve been elaborated on and I would’ve loved to read more instances of Ceri’s gift playing out. They were my favourite parts. I understand this novella’s part of a trilogy which does soften the blow of such a short read and an abrupt ending (an exciting cliff-hanger). The main characters Ceri and Alex were very realistic in the way they beh [...]
