    1. 'Magickal' and amazing! Another interesting concept from this author, (I read The Locket Thief before this.) A world in which magicka has been asleep for a very long time sees magicka start to awaken again. It's a short book, but it is only part one in the story and it ends on a really exciting cliffhanger. Can't wait for more.

    2. I recently finished reading The Locket Thief by this author, his full-length book, and I thought I'd give this one a go too. It's a lot shorter, and I think he's planning on releasing it in instalments, like Dickens used to do in the magazines in the 19th century. Like The Locket Thief, though, this is another great read. The story only just gets started in this instalment really, but it gives you a good idea where it's going. It describes the return of Magicka, a force which was once important [...]
