    2. For this review, I read Rainbow's End by J.B. Bonds, which was my first book I read by this author. It is their debut book from what I read. Also J.B. Bonds is a pen name for 2 sisters, who write together and they are Jane McCoy and Brenda Powell. My husband job before the one he has now was at a retirement village. There was many kinds of houses- regular houses, Townhouses, retirement village (it was it's name), and a nursing home. Shawn told me stories about the residents. When I started readin [...]

From the beginning, Roz made the observation that living there made every day seem like Saturday, except Sunday. All of this adds up to a bookfille [...]

From the beginning, Roz made the observation that living there made every day seem like Saturday, except Sunday. Little did the sisters know that they were soon to get involved with a cross dresser, a kleptomaniac, amorous affairs, lots of cats, and a situation that puts them in peril. All of this adds up to a book filled with escapades an [...]

    5. This book had a great storyline, was well written and was a lot of fun. Following the antics of Roz and Janie at the Rainbow's End retirement village has got to be one of the most fun books that I have read in a long time. The characters are well developed, colorful, charming and full of life. This is not what one thinks of when we think of a retirement home, you think laid back ,quiet, boring bingo and somewhat depressing. Rainbow's End is anything but that. The inhabitants are energetic, full of [...]

    6. Rainbow’s End is an enjoyable, sassy, read for anyone looking for a funny tale that reflects true sisterhood. This story of two widows, written by two sisters, offers a delightful mix of dialogue and storytelling that mirrors how the writers must surely feel about one another. As a Florida gal, I was immediately drawn to the Key West setting; the writers did not disappoint in capturing the details of my beloved home state. This book made we want to go hang out with the writers, perhaps one day [...]

    7. This was such a fun read! It was refreshing to read about women who were not struggling in their 'golden' years and living life to the fullest. I found myself laughing through a lot of their escapades and thought the characters of Joanie and Roz were quirky, sweet, funny, and made me smile. I would love to be like them when I get older. They live life and are not held back by the number of their age. They were like an older version of a Cagney and Lacey type and they pull it off! The book wasn't [...]

    8. This book had a rough start for me. The setting and characters were set out in what I felt was rather amateurish writing. (I wasn't surprised when I reach the end and found it was the authors' first book.) But I stuck with it because of the good reviews, and I'm glad I did. Despite imperfect pacing and some stilted writing at times, it had a fun set of quirky characters, some sections of good storytelling, and enough mystery to keep me interested. It's not something I'll ever read again, but for [...]

    9. This wasn't a mystery set in a retirement community. This was a detailed account of day-to-day living in a retirement community that happened to have a little bit of a mystery in it. As I am too young for the daily antics of the geriatric set to appeal to me, I found much of this story rather mundane. Perhaps if I were older and living in a retirement community myself, it would have been more appealing. Also, the woman getting rid of her cats for a man?? Oh hell no.

    10. This was a fun book to read. I found myself laughing at some of the parts more than I thought I would. I enjoyed living the day to day lives of Roz and Joanie. They might be older, but they do not let their age get in their way of having a great time with the other residents at Rainbow's End. I liked the way everything worked out in the end and I would recommend this book to anyone looking for a good laugh and a light read.

    11. I had so much fun getting to know the characters in Rainbow's End. During the course of reading the book, I felt like I became friends with sisters, Roz and Joanie. Burton made me laugh, and I believe I would be welcome at his parties. Good for Roz and Joanie getting to the bottom of the secret of Caliente honey. Great book! I enjoyed it very much.

    12. Rainbow's End is a great story. I loved getting to know the characters, and I thoroughly enjoyed their adventures. Rainbow's End makes retirement look like the most exciting, fun time imaginable. I would LOVE to see this as a television series. The story line is wide open with possibilities.

    13. Interesting characters. It has some suspense elements but isn't a mystery. An awful lot going on.Not that sure how I feel about it either. I am guessing at the 3* rating without any confidence in my choice.

    14. This was definitely a "don't judge a book by it's cover". It was laugh out loud funny. It was apparent that it was a first effort but it was a great one. Many amusing characters and a highly unlikely plot, but entertaining nevertheless.

    15. When my time comes, I hope to end up in a community like Rainbow's End, with Burton and the sisters! Retirement there is far from boring. It's a good story, a very fast read and offers up characters that you can't help but care about. All in all, very entertaining. Nice job ladies.

    16. Good reading. Could become a TV show staring a younger Betty White and younger Angela Landsbury.Tama R. Taylor

    17. Humorous and quirky. I loved the character portrayals and the little twist near the end which pulls the story together. If you are searching for a light and enjoyable read, you have found it.

    18. I really would like to live in this community. The characters were really enjoyabe This was a most entertaining book
