    1. I read this to my daughter's 2nd grade class today. She was diagnosed Christmas 2007. It thoroughly discusses the age appropriate "science" behind diabetes and assures classmates that you can't "catch" diabetes from friends and it talks thoroughly about management. This is the first children's book I have seen that introduces the pump versus managing with shots. The kids loved it, were excited to take the quiz and then talk about and sample healthy snacks.

    2. Reading this to my kindergartners tomorrow to introduce them to my Type 1 Diabetes. Some of the terms seem complicated for them to understand, but I haven't found a better book to introduce what I have to do in my every day life. -I hope it goes well.

    3. Great book for kids with Diabetes to read to their new class. My daughter has many allies now who understand and can help her!
