    1. This is a great read for kids and for those adults who haven't surrendered their sense of wonder and imagination. I certainly enjoyed it: the language and style is clear, the characters excellently fleshed out, the descriptions and imagery compelling and the dialogue fluid and engaging. He takes his time to develop his characters in tandem with a well constructed storyline so that by the end of the book your head will be popping with questions and keenly anticipating Book 2.

    2. I found this book to be very refreshing. Being someone that reads a lot I had been having a hard time finding something worth reading to the end, so it was with extreme caution that I started reading this one. Thank goodness it was a good read. I think the thing I liked the most was the world building. You're not going to find anything that seems remotely familiar in this book. 3. This book is awesome! Its full of suspense, unexpected heroes, twists, turns, jams, successes, heartbreak, corrupt people in power, good people in power, mystery, it really does have everything! Its a must read.

    4. Fantastic New SeriesNatural magic, drawing power from all life the Melforger becomes the champion of light. Faced with a dark evil of rot and corruption that destroys everything in its path, Raf becomes something beyond his wildest dreams.

    5. Such an imaginative book that takes the reader through a colourful and very entertaining adventure. A definite must for any reader - fantasy and non-fantasy enthusiasts alike.
