    1. (Books for Early Readers)Ping and Pong are two penguins who are best friends, however anything Ping can do Pong can do better. The overall theme of the book is that everyone has different skill sets. Even if it seems like your friends are better than you at things, that's not all life is about. At the end, all Pong wanted from Ping was Ping to be the best best friend he could be and that was enough for him. Once Ping realized that he became happy and found a way to accept the fact that he may no [...]

    2. I think this book is a good fable story for children. It is based on the fact that anything Ping can do Pong can do better. Ping starts to get really annoyed that he can't be the best at something, but then Pong makes him a cake saying he is the best friend ever on it. This makes Ping realize that he is the best at something, and that you can't be the best at everything. The moral is that it teaches children that you may not be the best at everything but you can still be yourself and keep doing [...]

    3. Ping and Pong is the typical jealousy frenemy situations that so many pre-teen tv shows depict. In Ping and Pongs friendhsip they go back and forth trying to beat the other in skills. If Ping can squeak in French than Pong can Squeak in nine different languages. In this hilarious book of battling back and forth it shows how tiring it can be to constantly trying to one up someone else. This book illustrations are fun and colorful and easy for children to relate to

    4. Endearing illustrations.A simple picture book about best friends who sometimes compete over all manner of things. However In the end the penguins realise that their friendship is their greatest strength.A nice book for SEAL in Foundation years in regards to feeling valued, appreciating friends, not competing all the time, etc. Also a nice home time story for year 1 (especially within the first term/lower ability).

    5. This is a book that deals with the whole concept of whatever you can do I can do better between best friends. It's quite sad to watch two best friends with one always coming out on top and the other comin egg to the conclusion that they should not even try anything. But as always a resolution comes and it is a great ending. Definitely recommended for any kid.

    6. This is one of those books that speaks about self-worth and value in (any) relationships. In the flip side, it also reminds the reader that you need to show your appreciation because sometimes they are not as obvious as they seemed.I thought this book was really sweet!

    7. I love this book for my competitive students! I also think it would be fun to discuss sibling or twin rivalry. Check out how I used it to discuss jealousy: pawsitiveschoolcounseling
