    1. I appreciate that this man is a "liberal christian". I appreciate that JEDP and the 4-source "solution" to the synoptic problem is very impressive to him. I get that he thinks we should judge the NT by apocryphal and inter-testamental literature. I get that he believes John, and Jesus, and Paul all made different "Christianities" and that only one of them "won" because of the Catholic church. I hear him saying that Jesus was wrong about his self-identity and didn't understand his own life, let a [...]

    2. Better than the average book on this topic, not so much a book "with all the answers", more of a book that challenges you to think and live deeply. I'd recommend it to anyone.

    3. Hill's book was not what I expected. I was expecting something more topic oriented. In God's Time is more philosophically and historically oriented. Hill raises lots of important issues that will make a good foundation for some additional reading. His approach to timing of materials, authorship, etc can be challenging. His insight is helpful. Personally, I most enjoyed the final two chapters.

    4. This was my bookgroup's foray in October. I enjoyed it well enough, but found that much of what he said didn't really stick with me. Cohesive argument and assessment of eschatology in America today, and why its relevant to the 'liberal Christians'. A welcome new prespective, and a good if corny sense of humor.

    5. A good thorough examination of prophetic and apocalyptic sources. Hill de-mythologizes some of the popular and erroneous appropriations of both.
