    1. I absolutely loved Liz Crowe's Turkish Delights 1Night Stand series, and when I heard she was writing a sequel and a prequel to the stories, I knew I had to read them. The Diplomat's Daughter did not disappoint. This story is about reunited love, as well as forbidden love. When Vivian, daughter to an American diplomat in Turkey sees her childhood friend, Levent, again, she is enthralled by him. But no matter how much she throws herself at him, or how much passion he shows her in his kisses, he wi [...]

    2. This was a great glimpse back at how everything got started. I've only read the first book in the series so far so I'm glad I had to chance to pick this one up and read it now. The love story between Vivian and Levent is sweet and powerful. I loved the strength that both characters showed and how in tune they were to each other.

    3. After reading the first three books in the series, I was very eager to get the story that would give me a glimpse into the love between the parents - Vivian & Levent. Their story was in one word, beautiful, and sets a perfect example to their children of what true love & acceptance is.Vivian & Levent’s story begins as a childhood friendship before they’re torn apart due to class, culture & circumstance. After the death of her Mother, Vivian moves back to Istanbul, where she r [...]

    4. I admit that I was drawn by the cover's background, which I think is beautiful. The colors used was eye-catching and I simply had to know what the book was about. The Diplomat's Daughter was set in 1960s Istanbul, which I have never read before and that raised by interest by another notch.Vivian and Levent were worlds apart. Vivian was simply way above Levent in terms of their status. I enjoyed reading about their childhood pasts. Vivian's father disapproved of his daughter following Levent arou [...]

    5. Vivan is a woman who decides to fight for what she wants while Levent believes he does not deserve what he wants. This makes for an interesting combination as we see the story of these childhood friends who discover what true love after becoming reconnected years later. I went into this story knowing what the ending would be, since this is a prequel to the Turkish Delights series. What I did not know was how they would get there. It was wonderful to see bits and pieces of how they became the cha [...]

    6. This is the prequel to the Turkish Delights series. It is set in Turkey in the 1960's and it follows Vivian, an American diplomats daughter, and her friendship with a Turkish servant boy named Levent. They played as kids until Levent was sent away and don't meet up again until 15 years later.Once they meet again their friendship continues and develops into more, even though Vivian's father forbids it.A great read to get you started on the series.

    7. Thoroughly enjoyed this one! A great look into another culture. I had to keep reminding myself of this whenever I'd get frustrated by the 'old fashioned' values. Not old-fashioned; just cultural differences. WTG Liz:)

    8. This was an amazing story about the parents of the kids we have gotten to know and love in this series. While kids they were best friends and loved each other. after being apart for 15 yrs will things still be the same or will things change? Read more to see how this story began.
