    1. A combo of Agüeros' "Puerto Rican" Sonnets and Psalms, much of which can be found in his later two collections, but the end poem "Correspondence Between the Stonehaulers" is a beautiful and brilliant leap of the imagination as a Mayan & Egyptian slave share postcards regarding their current place in their respective cultures and how they plan to make a better life for themselves and their families. Martín Espada's intro is also worth the read.

    2. A fantastic collection of lyric and often political poetry. The "Psalms on the Redeployment of Angles" were brilliantly funny, a hard thing to achieve in lyric political poetry. "Correspondence Between the Stonecutters" reminds me of Studs Terkel's "Mike LeFevre: Who Built the Pyramids?" from Working.

    3. Some parts I was like what, but even in dismay I could see that it was me not the poems. It was done in a common tone and language that everyone can read. I enjoyed the book and will read again.
